Leadership

“I came from a family of caregivers and nurses. I have always had it my heart to take care of the elderly, to assist and be a compassionate person in their life to make a positive difference.”

Michelle Batchelor

RN, BSN, LNHA

Facility Administrator

With a calling from a very young age to become a nurse, Michelle has always felt a deep sense of commitment and compassion for the elderly and people in need of medical attention. She received her degree in nursing from Durham College in Oshawa, ON, Canada and after graduating, moved to the United States to pursue her career in nursing. Following her call to help the geriatric population, she began her journey as an RN Charge Nurse working her way up to Director of Nursing for a skilled nursing facility, where she served for many years. From there, she continued her education, earning her licensure to become a Nursing Home Administrator, which she has been serving as for the past twenty-one years. She leads the diverse, compassionate team at Springbrook and is very engaged in the local community.

“At an early age, my mom passed away from undiagnosed medical conditions. From that point, I made it a life mission to be an advocate for my residents to ensure they receive quality care with kindness and compassion.”

Carolyn Watford

MSN, BS, RN

Director of Nursing, Medication Aide Instructor, Notary Public

Driven to serve others, Carolyn started her career as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in 2002 at a skilled nursing facility in Windsor, NC. From there, she knew that working with the geriatric population was where she wanted to be. While working, she also obtained her associate degree in Nursing in 2018 and continued her journey, completing her Master of Nursing in 2021. As the Director of Nursing for Springbrook, Carolyn greets each day with empathy, care, and kindness— and through her actions, inspires and motivates others to be better than they were the day before and to always take care of residents like family.
