Discover the Springbrook Difference

At Home, In Your Neighborhood

Springbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is unlike any rehabilitative care facility in Johnston County. While we still offer comprehensive rehabilitative and long-term care, the layout of our campus and many of the facility’s key features provide a unique opportunity for patients and residents to rehabilitate in familiar settings. Much of Springbrook was designed to imitate life beyond rehabilitation to help ease the transition from leaving and prepare residents for their return home and their normal lives.

Our facility is divided into four self-sustaining, self-contained wings that we describe as “neighborhoods.” Each neighborhood can act as its own community with easy access to many important amenities. We aim to make the experience less like the wing of a facility so that when you walk out your door, you’re in a neighborhood, not a simple hallway.

Neighborhoods include the following

  • Dining room
  • Kitchen, responsive to provide snacks and meals on demand
  • Two common areas (one with a TV)
  • Nurses stations in closed, secure offices

The Springbrook Advantage

  • Professional and Certified Healthcare Professionals
  • Real-World Rehabilitative Environments
  • Self-Contained Community Neighborhoods
  • Compassionate, Personalized Care Programs
  • Adaptable Daily Schedule and Activities
  • Adaptable Rehabilitation and Regular Plan Evaluation
  • On-Site Physician Three Days a Week

Real-World Rehabilitation

Our goal is to prepare patients for return to their regular lives. We feel that this is best accomplished by brining their regular lives to the facility. We’ve designed Springbrook to imitate life outside the facility. We’ve included many key elements of home and normal life for many residents so they can adapt their rehabilitation and practice applicable skills necessary for their return home.

At-Home Rehabilitation

  • Standard Gym Equipment
  • A Full Practice Kitchen
  • A Mock-Up Coffee Shop
  • A Chapel with Pews

These environments are important for patients to gain the real-world experience they need to reenter their regular lives. It also creates better continuity of care from the hospital, through the rehabilitation process and to their final destination: Home.

Our Community

We believe that stewardship shouldn’t only be extended to our patients; that’s why we are also active members in our community, enriching the lives of many both inside and outside the walls of our facility.

Springbrook in the Community

  • Members of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce
  • Regular Members of the Strawberry Festival
  • Regular Participation of Clayton Harvest Festival

We also like to bring the community into our facility to engage our patients and residents with meaningful community interaction. We’ve hosted the First Responders Appreciation Lunch as well as Breakfast with Santa and weekly pet visits with a volunteer pet therapist.

Other regular community activities includes bible trivia, crafts, puzzles, games, movie nights, cooking social, men’s socials, and dessert socials. All of these efforts are made to make sure life at Springbrook is as comfortable and welcoming as home.
